Ulrike Spree

Professor

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Spree is a Professor for knowledge organization, information and user experience at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. She is chairwoman of the examinationboard and internship comissioner.

Ulrike Spree was a lecturer for German language and regional studies until 1990 at the University of Salford (UK). In 1995 she recieved her Ph.D. in history from the University of Bielefeld.

After having worked as media documentalist and archivist for a German public broadcaster (NDR) until 1999 she became professor  for “Information services and transfer in media documentation” at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

Ulrike Spree is also active in many different associations, including ISKO German Chapter, and she is a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Aslib Journal of Information Management. From the Online Information Review she recieved the Award “Outstanding Reviewer for Emerald Online Information Review” in 2015.
